The mission is focused on the compliant collection of electro-electronic waste and on raising awareness of companies and citizens about the correct use of outdated WEEE material in order to reduce the dispersion in the environment of equipment which has reached the end of its life-cycle.
It is still only a portion equivalent to 25% of the national production of e-waste that is properly collected and only a marginal part is sent to processing to recover the materials that compose it, while a substantial amount still ends up in landfills, causing severe damage to the environment.
The activity of Sim Green has been set up to modify and update the current process of collection and processing of WEEE, which is usually sent, at best, to general shredding plants designed for the recovery of coarser materials such as steel, plastic and glass.
Sim Green, by contrast, guarantees specialised selection of components and raw/secondary materials, suitable for reuse in industries such as:
- PRECIOUS METALS PROCESSING
- STEEL MILLS
- MANUFACTURING OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC CONDUCTORS AND SEMICONDUCTORS
- PLASTICS AND RELATED MATERIALS
